THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW, HUE UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATED IN THE YOUNG SCIENTISTS CONFERENCE ON "IMPROVING VIETNAMESE LAW IN THE CONTEXT OF INTEGRATION AND THE DIGITAL AGE," ORGANIZED BY THE NETWORK OF LAW TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN VIETNAM
Update day: 23-10-2023On October 23, 2023, the Young Scientists Conference on "Improving Vietnamese Law in the Context of Integration and the Digital Age" was held at the Quy Nhon University, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province. The conference aimed to enhance the connection and academic exchange among young lecturers, researchers, trainees, and students from law training institutions in Vietnam. With a current topic, the Young Scientists Conference attracted more than 90 papers, of which 43 papers went through two rounds of review and were selected for full publication in the conference proceedings.
The University of Law, Hue University, is a permanent member of the Network of Law Training Institutions in Vietnam.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University - Head of the delegation, Mr. Tran Cao Thanh, PhD - Lecturer at the Law Practice and Entrepreneurship Center - Delegation Secretary, Mr. Ho Minh Thanh, PhD - Lecturer at the Civil Law Department - Member, Ms. Nguyen Luu Lan Phuong, PhD - Lecturer at the Economic Law Department - Member, Mr. Phan Dinh Nguyen, MSc - Lecturer at the International Law Department - Member, and Ms. Nguyen Dao Mai Khanh - Student of the Economics Law Class K44B - Member.
Attending the conference from the local judiciary leadership were Mr. Pham Trung Luan, Deputy Head of the People's Procuracy of Binh Dinh province, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chung, Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Procuracy of Binh Dinh province, and Judge Phan Minh Dung, Head of the Lawyers' Association of the People's Court of Binh Dinh province.
Representatives from the Quy Nhon University included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Quy Nhon University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien, Vice Rector of Quy Nhon University. Representatives from the Management Board of the Network of Law Training Institutions in Vietnam included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Vu Nam, Vice Rector of the University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM - Head of the Network's Management Board, Mr. Chu Manh Hung, Chairman of the University Council, Hanoi University of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Nhiem, Chairman of the University Council, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trung Hien, Head of the Law Faculty, Can Tho University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Thuy, Head of the Law Faculty, Van Lang University, Mr. Dao Gia Phuc, Director of the Institute of International and Comparative Law, University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM. Representatives from other law training institutions in Vietnam also attended the conference.
In his welcome speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Quy Nhon University, expressed his joy in welcoming the delegates and scientists from law training institutions in the network.
In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Vu Nam, Vice Rector of the University of Economics and Law, Head of the Network of Law Training Institutions, affirmed that this event is a valuable academic forum for connecting and exchanging expertise among young lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, and students from law training institutions nationwide. On behalf of the organizing committee, he stated that similar academic activities should be further promoted in the future to become an annual event of the network.
The papers presented by young lecturers and students from the University of Law, Hue University, at the conference were highly appreciated by the organizing committee. Three papers were selected for presentation at the conference, and the authors were awarded certificates for their participation. Particularly, two outstanding papers also received awards for excellence in the specialized sessions of the conference. Specifically:

Mr. Ho Minh Thanh - Mr. Phan Dinh Nguyen: The paper was selected for presentation at the conference and received the distinguished paper award with the title "From the Past to the Future: The Historical Journey of Patent Law and the Emergence of Artificial Intelligence."

Ms. Nguyen Luu Lan Phuong - Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Ha: The paper was selected for presentation at the conference with the title "Open Banking and Privacy Control: Challenges and Solutions."

Ms. Nguyen Dao Mai Khanh and the author group: The paper was selected for presentation at the conference and received the distinguished paper award with the title "SettingStandards for Online Dispute Resolution in Vietnam."
