THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR AND THE WELCOMING FRESHMEN FESTIVAL
Update day: 24-09-2023On September 24, 2023, a series of activities belonging to the 2023-2024 academic year Opening Ceremony and the Welcoming K47 Freshmen Festival were solemnly organized by the University of Law, Hue University.
The ceremony was honored to welcome many distinguished guests and delegates, including: Mr. Hoang Phuoc An, Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Youth Union; Dr. Le Nam Hai, Deputy Head of Training and Student Affairs Department of Hue University; Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of Hue University Youth Union as well as representatives of agencies, units, businesses and sponsors.
The ceremony also had the presence of the Universisty’s leaders, including: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Duc Luong, Secretary of the Party Committee - Rector; Associate. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the University Council; as well as the comrades in the Party Committee, University Council, Board of Management; Heads, deputy heads of affiliated units and all officials, labors and students of the University of Law.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Duc Luong (Rector) affirmed that the core values the University has striven to achieve are “Thinking - Creativity - Responsibility”. Specifically, in Training activities, the University always aims to connect theory and practice; in Research activities, many valuable results have been published, contributing to legal science in both theory and practice aspects; and in Community service activities, there are always cohesion and responsibility, continuing to build the University's law training brand.
In the 2023 enrollment year, nearly 1.300 students have been admitted as the K47 freshmen of the University of Law, Hue University. At the ceremony, the University’s leaders also congratulated and honored 3 new students as Valedictorian and Salutatorians with high achievements in the 2023 National High School Exam
Specifically, a scholarship worth 30,000,000 VND was awarded to new student Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy for her achievement as valedictorian with the score of 28.25; a scholarship worth 20,000,000/student was also awarded to 2 new students Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh and Pham Ha An holding the salutatorian achievement in the recent 2023 National High School Exam with the same score of 28.25.
After serious preparation and practice, the competitions included team building and flash mob performances; attractive, unique and elaborate musical performances from the University's Youth Union, the participation of 02 young singers Quang Hung MasterD and Xuan Phuong as well as the DJ festival with 8D sound and lighting really brought great experiences. They were the cultural highlight of the entire ceremony. In particular, the fireworks show held for the first time to welcome the 2023-2024 new academic year also received special love from people. It was the special gift that our University gave to new students and distinguished guests as well as the audience participating in the ceremony.
