Scientific seminar “APPIL (Asian Principles of Private International Law): Where we are now and will be for the future”
Update day: 13-09-2021On the morning of March 2, 2020, University of Law, Hue University and RECITAL Research Center, Doshisha University (Japan) co-organized the Scientific Seminar "APPIL (Asian Principles of Private International Law): Where we are now and will be for the future". The seminar was pleased to welcome the presence of Prof. Naoshi TAKASUGI, Prof. Mao UEMATSU (from Japan); Lawyer LLM. Dang Thi Ngoc Hanh - President of Thua Thien Hue Province Bar Association and lecturers of the University of Law, Hue University. The seminar was a part of a series of academic exchanges organized by RECITAL Center's professors at University of Law, Hue University for the second time they have visited our University.
In the Seminar, Professor Naoshi Takasugi introduced an overview of the “Asian Principles of Private International Law” project and the process of APPIL’s forming and main contents. Professor Mao Uematsu clairified the APPIL's terms. Subsequently, Lawyer Ngoc Hanh and lecturers of the University of Law asked questions as well as discussed with professors to deepen the presentations’ content.
The seminar is a valuable opportunity for lecturers of the University of Law to access the APPIL’s terms as well as discuss professional knowledge related to the Center’s research scopes with RECITAL’s Japanese researchers. Besides, Professors and the University's Rectorate-board met, discussed and unified activities to strengthen ties between two units including organizing annual conferences and developing the relationship to become the trustworthy partners with potential long-term cooperation.
