CONFERENCE COMMEMORATING THE LAW DAY OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM 2023
Update day: 07-11-2023On the morning of November 7, 2023, the University of Law, Hue University, organized a conference in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The conference was attended by the following individuals:

Additionally, the conference was attended by the heads and deputy heads of various units within and under the University, as well as employees and representatives from student classes of the University of Law, Hue University.
The conference was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector, along with Dr. Le Thi Hai Ngoc, Director of the Center for Legal Consulting and Short-Term Training at the University of Law, Hue University.
During his address at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong emphasized the significance of the Conference in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2023, which was organized by the University of Law, Hue University. The event aimed to introduce recently enacted laws, ordinances, and documents, as well as raise awareness about legal projects that play a crucial role in establishing a favorable investment and business environment, safeguarding the rights of individuals and businesses. Dr. Phuong highlighted that these efforts contribute to building trust and fostering consensus across society.
The conference focused on two main topics:
Firstly, it aimed to disseminate the new provisions of the amended Law on Consumer Protection in 2023. This included highlighting the rights and responsibilities of consumers, protecting the rights of vulnerable consumer groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, children, ethnic minorities, pregnant women, etc. Additionally, specific regulations pertaining to certain types of transactions, such as remote transactions and transactions in cyberspace, were also discussed.
Secondly, the conference addressed the limitations and inadequacies of the 2013 Land Law and provided directions for its amendment. Topics covered included land prices and methods of determining them, challenges in implementing land recovery, compensation, and resettlement support, as well as issues related to land use limits and duration.
The organization of the Conference in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2023 was entrusted to the Center for Legal Consulting and Short-term Training by the University of Law, Hue University. The conference was a resounding success, featuring presentations by seasoned legal experts with extensive experience. These presentations were complemented by well-prepared musical performances and skits, both in terms of content and presentation.
The conference served as an important platform for promoting dissemination, education, and raising awareness about the rule of law in Vietnam, in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW in the new era.
