Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement Between University of Law and Agribank of the Central Region
Update day: 27-12-2023On the afternoon of May 25, 2023, the University of Law, Hue University, and the Representative Office of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) in the Central region held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a new period of collaboration and development between the two entities.
Present at the ceremony from the Agribank in the Central region were: Mr. Le Truc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Representative Office; Mr. Nguyen Tien Truong, Deputy Head of the Representative Office; Mr. Pham Sy Hung, Deputy Head of the Representative Office; and Mr. Nguyen Hai Quan, Director of Agribank's Thua Thien Hue branch.
On the side of Hue University, there were: Dr. Bui Van Loi, Deputy Director of Hue University; MSc. Hoang Trung Kien, Deputy Head of the Department of Planning, Finance & Infrastructure - Hue University; Dr. Le Van Tuong Lan, Acting Head of Training & Student Affairs Department - Hue University.
Representing the University of Law were: Associate Professor, PhD. Doan Duc Luong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal; Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Principal; Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the School Council; and all teachers who are Heads and Deputy Heads of units under the University.
During his speech at the ceremony, Associate Professor, PhD. Doan Duc Luong emphasized that in recent years, community service activities have always received special attention from the University of Law, Hue University. The University consistently recognizes its responsibility not only towards students but also towards society as a whole. The University is delighted to collaborate with Agribank, an institution with a rich tradition and reputation in community service and support activities. It is hoped that following this signing ceremony, many students facing difficulties will have the opportunity to attend school and promote the positive values of both Agribank and the University of Law.
Among the key aspects of the cooperation agreement, both parties place significant emphasis on: enhancing the quality of human resources at Agribank and the University of Law through legal knowledge training for Agribank employees and internships for University of Law students; engaging in social welfare initiatives, supporting disadvantaged students through contributions to the "Student Scholarship Fund", "Aid for disadvantaged students facing challenges", and other appropriate community welfare projects agreed upon by both parties.
As part of the signing ceremony, Agribank presented a symbolic plaque worth a total of 135 million VND to the "Student Scholarship Fund" and "Assistance Fund for disadvantaged students overcoming challenges". Additionally, scholarships were granted to 5 students in challenging circumstances, with each student receiving a scholarship of 5 million VND.
