CONFERENCE IN RESPONSE TO THE LAW DAY OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM 2023
Update day: 07-11-2023On the morning of November 7, 2023, the University of Law, Hue University, organized a Conference to mark the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Also in attendance were Heads and Deputy Heads of university units, staff, and student class representatives from the University of Law, Hue University.
The Conference was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Principal; and Dr. Le Thi Hai Ngoc, Director of the Center for Legal Consulting and Short-Term Training, University of Law, Hue University.
During his address at the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector highlighted that the Conference in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2023 was organized by the University of Law, Hue University, with an aim to introduce recently enacted laws, ordinances, and documents, and to communicate about legal initiatives essential for fostering a conducive environment for investment and business, as well as safeguarding the rights of individuals and businesses. This effort contributes to strengthening trust and fostering consensus across society.
The Conference delves into two main themes:
Disseminating the amendments to the Law on Consumer Protection in 2023, focusing on consumer rights and responsibilities, safeguarding vulnerable consumer groups (such as the elderly, disabled individuals, children, ethnic minorities, pregnant women), and specific regulations for various transactions (remote transactions, cyber transactions, among others).
Addressing the limitations and deficiencies in the 2013 Land Law, along with proposals for amendments concerning land pricing mechanisms, challenges in land reclamation, compensation, and resettlement support, land usage limitations, and durations.
The organization of the Conference to Respond to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2023 was entrusted to the Center for Legal Consulting - Short-term Training by the University of Law, Hue University. The successful execution of the conference involved presentations by legal experts with extensive experience, complemented by musical performances and skits meticulously crafted in both content and form.
This Conference serves as a crucial platform to advance the dissemination, education, and awareness-raising efforts pertaining to the Socialist Rule of Law State in Vietnam, in alignment with the spirit of Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW in the new era.
